Jack Daniel’s Inspired Fireball Whiskey
In this recipe, we are using everything you can buy in a grocery store and of course your local liquor store. You can grow all the peppers in a container garden even if you don’t have a yard. Visit our sister channel, Easy Container Gardening, and be sure and share with anyone who may find it helpful!
Since 750mL is 6.6 ounces less than a full quart, you will have 5.4 ounces leftover that won’t fit in the quart mason jar. You can either add only a half of a can of apple concentrate or mix all the ingredients together and put the leftover in a half-pint canning jar.
Ingredients for Hot Fireball Whiskey
- 1-750mL of whiskey
- 1-12oz can apple juice concentrate
- 2 full cinnamon sticks
- ½ teaspoon crushed pepper flakes or seeds from the peppers
- 2 dried peppers
Directions to make DIY Fireball Whiskey
- Let the whiskey, cinnamon sticks, pepper flakes, and dried peppers age for a week if possible
- Taste to see if it is what you prefer, if not let sit another few days or a week!
- Strain the mixture, add the apple concentrate and mix well to a one-quart mason jar
- Let this sit for a week if possible and shake daily. Store in a cool, dry, and dark place

Spiked Apple Cider
Do you like fall drinks as I do? Especially the “adult” ones? Try adding a shot in a cup full of hot apple cider. We get ours locally made from the apple orchard and I think it’s the best!
Having a shot by itself too, on a fall or winter day, makes it so cozy. Just talking about it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!
Moonshine Vanilla Bean Extract
Our sister channel has a great blog and video tutorial on how to make your own vanilla bean extract. If you have moonshine, then it’s so easy to make the best vanilla bean extract under the sun!
The longer this extract ages, the better. I have a bottle from over 2 years ago and I hate to admit it, I use it very sparingly. It’s like an aged bourbon, it’s so fine.
Would you like to make your own Vanilla Bean extract as well as 3 others, check out the blog on Super Easy Moonshine Extracts along with the video tutorial watching me make it!
Cinnamon Moonshine Extract
If you would like to substitute the cinnamon sticks in the 2 recipes for cinnamon moonshine extract you easily could. Try adding 2 tablespoons to each batch in place of OR in conjunction with the cinnamon sticks in the recipes.
If I had to pick between vanilla bean extract or cinnamon extract, I could not choose, I love them both!
DIY Fireshine Recipe
If you really love hot and spicy whiskey or moonshine you can make the “heat” in a jar first and use it later. All you need to do is add a few hot peppers (cut into large pieces) to whiskey or moonshine in a jar and let them do their thing.
Many times, I will use my dehydrated peppers as I have them more on hand any time of the year.
After a few hours or even days, strain off the peppers and label the jar, “use to make fireball drinks”. You will need to experiment with this, it may take a ¼ cup, more or less to get the heat you are looking for in your recipe. This should be very concentrated so use sparingly.
